The children especially need the nutritious foods. The canned goods and noodles are quick to cook and easier to repack too that's what the emergency food items that the gov't can offer.
Yet there are some NGO's like the MTYC (Mindanao Tripartite Youth Corps)headed by Ms. Jana Jean GD and Staff Volunteers cooked foods and gives fresh foods to them, but because EC's are massive it can not be accommodated all!
The main resource of buying foods are cash. Since the Iligan City Marketplaces are abundant of fresh foods. Yet sponsors brought them (the NGOs) truckloads of goods and dry goods.
