Manila---Justice undersecretary  Ricardo Blancaflor announced Friday that the govetrnment’s Anti-terrorism Council(Rtc) will conduct a simulation of terrorist attacks and mass casualty incident at the Light Rail station 2 station in Cubao and Metro Rail Transit North Avenue station at 8 am , blanceflor RTC spokesperson, said people should not panic if they see terrorist-like individuals or bomb like explosions at the two train stations.

Four of the biggest news organizations in the country joined forces Thursday to pledge support for a newly-formed watchdog focusing on the judiciary and the selection of the next set of appointees to the Supreme Court. ABS-CBN, GMA News network, the Philippine Star, and the Philippine Daily Inquirer have all pledged support for Bantay Korte Suprema (BKS), a newly formed watchdog focusing oooon the Judiciary branch of government. 12-12-08

Lewis success knocked classic boy band Take that’s single “Greatest Day” down to the number two after just a week at the top.

At around 7 am today Dec 8, while Muslims in Cotabato City were performing eid el adha congregational prayer two military helicopterswere hovering over places where musl;ims were performing the prayers . the noise of the helicopters greatly disturbed  the people doing prayers. I don not know what the purpose but wehatever it was it shows the lack of respect by government  to religious festivals of Muslims.

Police have arrested three of the four men who robbed and killed a mother and child in Paranaque City Police identified the arrested suspects as benediction Gordo, Reynaldo Bantilan, and Giovanni Escosa. A Fourth suspect identified as Eddie Martero is still being hunted down by policemen. Milagros Garduque, 46, and her eight year old child, Yuichi, was found dead and hog-tied inside their two-story home Wednesday.

A father and his seven-year old daughter were shot dead by policemen after being mistaken as armed robbers during a shootout in a subdivision in Paranaque City, late Friday night. Alfonso de Vera and daughter Lea Alyanna were on board their Isuzu crosswind when they were intercepted by policemen along Sampaguita Street in the United Paranaque Subdivision IV in Sucat district.
